Our Services

Individual Music Therapy Sessions

Individual music therapy sessions are 45-60 minutes in length. A qualified MTA (Music Therapist, Accredited) will come to your residence or facility fully equipped for the client’s music therapy sessions. Frequency of sessions is generally once a week, but can be increased depending on the client’s needs.

Group Music Therapy Sessions

Group sessions are 60 minutes in length. A qualified MTA (music therapist, accredited) will come to your residence or facility at an agreed-upon day and time each week fully equipped for your group.

In-Service Presentations

If your facility would like more information on how music therapy could benefit your clients, Face To Face Music Therapy can arrange for a 20-30 minute in-service presentation for you and your staff.

Long-Term and Complex/Memory Care Music Therapy

Individual and group music therapy sessions are tailored to meet the needs of your clients, whether in long-term, complex care or memory care settings. Group music therapy sessions are 30-45 minutes in length, while individual sessions vary in length, depending on the need of the client. Themed group music therapy sessions assist with reality orientation, positive engagement and gross motor activity appropriate to the clients' abilities. Individual music therapy sessions may be suitable for clients who are non-ambulatory or unable/unwilling to join in group activities. A personalized session gives the client opportunity to express themselves musically and emotionally while breaking down the barriers of isolation. Music therapy can also assist in mitigating behaviours associated with sundowning in clients with dementia/Alzheimer's disease.
